What a long day it has been. We started out at 5:30am to prepare and get to the hospital by 7am. Ri started out with a PICC Line insertion, followed by an x-ray, blood work, and doctor’s visit.
In the afternoon, she got some chemotherapy drugs, marking today as Day 1 of Cycle#1. Apart from some adverse reaction to the first drug which was quickly addressed by Benadryl and a slower infusion, everything went smoothly and uneventfully.
And since all went well, and the fact that we didn’t need to stay the night, we didn’t mind so much that we left the hospital close to 9pm.
Thank God for minimal side effects! Keeping our fingers crossed for the next few days.
