The Comfort Food Cure

You know it’s the third week of the chemo cycle when Ri starts eating and looking for food.

Usually, it’s sushi or Chinese so imagine my surprise when she said she’s ready for pancit, a traditional Filipino noodle dish.

I started with a trek to the Korean grocery that also happens to have a few Philippine items, bought my ingredients, and ended the day with my finished product (as pictured).

Proud of myself for having addressed hunger and homesickness all in one day.
